Dee Seed

news articleDee Seed, also known as “The Queen of Crawley”, lost her 18 month long battle with pancreatic cancer in November 2007. She was a true fighter to the very end.

She will be remembered for her single-minded determination to seal a deal together with her insatiable zest for fun.

She took to real estate readily after careers as a nurse and pharmaceuticals saleswoman. Her then husband, Michael Seed, owned a real estate business and after deciding she needed a change from pharmaceuticals, he suggested she went into his real estate firm. She excelled, took over the business and joined Kempton Morrill until 1994 when she formed her own agency – Dee Seed Real Estate. She sold homes all through the Western Suburbs before concentrating on the nearby enclave of Crawley where she raised its profile by touting and encouraging development of lavish apartments and drove property sales so vigorously she dominated listings.

Her professional attributes were thoroughness, attention to detail, persistence and an infinite capacity for hard work – all of which she drilled into her staff and led by example.

A doyen of Western Suburbs real estate and apartment selling, many of Perth’s real estate landmarks were sold by Dee. 122 luxury apartments in The Raffles Waterfront complex including the then record of $6.7 million penthouse, 28 luxury apartments in The Old Swan Brewery, 90% of all units sold in Crawley in the last 25 years and then breaking her old record by selling The Penthouse of 70 Mount St, West Perth with William Porteous for $7.95 million.
